We delivered a full internal refurbishment of the Co-op store at Straits Parade, upgrading the retail trading area, back-of-house facilities, and external elements to align with the latest store format. The works were carefully coordinated to ensure a structured programme, consistent finish quality, and efficient installation of new retail equipment and services.

The seven-week programme involved a complete strip-out of the existing store followed by the installation of new partitions, services, refrigeration systems, and customer-facing finishes across the trading space.

Our scope included

Full strip-out of the trading area including tills, counters, shelving, refrigeration, flooring, ceilings, and services

Installation of fire-resistant full-height partition walls around the trade area

Installation of a new suspended ceiling system

New M&E installations including air conditioning, CCTV, lighting, fire alarm, security alarm, IT, and sound system

Installation of new flooring and wall panelling throughout the trading area

Installation of new tills, counters, and retail fixtures

Installation of new refrigeration cases, plant, and cold-room facilities

Installation of roof-mounted plant equipment

Refurbishment of the manager’s office and bakery areas

Installation of new fire doors to BOH and plant room areas

General decorations to trade and back-of-house areas

External works including cladding repairs and shopfront spraying

Installation of new store signage

Tarmac repairs to the external loading area

Installation of a new cat ladder to the rear elevation
